Arm & Hammer Baking Soda (5 biscuits)
Our take: Grandma had it right: Hands down, my all-time favorite cleaning product for everything--pet stains, odor, laundry, sinks--is good old baking soda. It's environmentally safe (always has been), effective on stains and odors, and it's dirt cheap.
Baking soda is made from soda ash, also called sodium bicarbonate, a naturally occurring substance found in all living things. Sprinkle it on your carpeting and vacuum it up to neutralize odors. Make a half water/half baking soda paste to clean stains, both on the carpeting (check for color fastness in an out-of-the-way spot first) and in the laundry. If your dog's bed is washable, put some baking soda in with your regular detergent. You can even recycle the cardboard container.
Arm & Hammer makes products specifically for pets but I don't think they're necessary....plain old baking soda is the way to go.
Cost: low
