Bone appetite cookies

Dog food recipe ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 grated lemon rind
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp toasted wheat germ
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 12 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup ground walnuts
  • 1/4 cup vanilla extract

Dog food recipe directions:

Combine all ingredients into large mixing bowl and knead thoroughly. Roll into half-inch thick slabs and cut or shape into 2-inch bones. (The remainder of dough can be frozen and used as needed.) Bake at 375 degrees on an ungreased cookie sheet for about 13 minutes. Makes 3 dozen bones.
