I had a Cocker Spaniel / Springer Spaniel / Border Collie mix - I named him Beau (French for boy) . . . 3 days later I added Butt - because he was a little butt ;o) . . . I thought that before long I would just be able to call him Beau instead of Beau Butt . . . He was 16 when he wandered away (he had always been on a chain on a runner and for the first time in his life we lived somewhere where there was a fence - and someone left it open) and someone picked him up and when they called my vet they didn't leave a call back number =( and I don't know what happened to him - if they had left him alone, he would have come back home =( - if they had left a call back number, I would have been able to find him and bring him home. I shared that just to let people know that they need to leave a call back number if they call someone's vet about a lost dog . . . Anyway, at 16, he was still my Beau Butt - he still loved to play and catch, even though he was pretty much deaf and was losing his sight - and he was still a Butt . . . he was such a wonderful dog and I miss him so very much - sure would love to find another like him =) (Probably couldn't find one exactly like him - he was a really special boy - but even similar would be nice).
