Benched show
An all-breed conformation show where the entries are assigned to a "benching area" where they are required to stay when they are not being exhibited, groomed or exercised so the public may see the dogs and talk to the owners, handlers and breeders. It is designed for public enjoyment and education and there are very few benched shows still being run in the United States.
