Osteosarcoma

Generally affecting large and giant breeds more often, Osteosarcoma is an aggressive bone cancer. The first symptom of Osteosarcoma is a lameness in the limb but the dog will require x-rays to determine if the cause is in fact the cancer. Osteosarcoma is treated very aggressively, usually with the amputation of the limb and also chemotherapy.
