We currently have 3 Yorkshire Terriors in our house (small breed, they’re all teacup size). We have used different foods over the course of 4-5 years for them, starting with Eukanuba, Nature’s Variety, and now Wellness. My family and i have tried to see which food best fits them. Eukanuba caused them to become gassy and a less amount of stool. (Not that big of a problem) Nature’s Variety didnt cause any problems. But for Wellness, which was recommended by another breeder, has caused them to have stomach aches, diheria and vomiting. There is a large amount of nutrition that is being missed from their diet causeing them to have hair loss problems on their hined area (near their hip bones). Anyway someone could suggest other food for them?! We want them to be on a stable food that doesn’t cause digestive problems, hair loss, and to cause them to stop eatting. |

If Nature’s Variety didn’t cause any poblems, and they were healthy when you took them to the vet’s, why did you change their food? It sounds like they may be allergic to the Wellness. One of the first signs of allergies in dogs is itchy skin and hair loss. I would take them to the vet for a check up to make sure there are no other underlying medical poblems causing the stomach aches, diarrhea and vomiting. If there are no medical reasons for their problems, and they had no poblem on Nature’s Variety, I would gradually change them back over to that food. |

Try to feed them the “Dog food recipes”. Please keep in mind, they are intended to help owners prepare the occasional treat, not to serve as the basis of any dog’s diet. Check this link for more recipes. |

I suggest that it’s best to consult a professional with regards to this matter. It’s normal tendency for dogs to vomit if they’re not getting the right food. To learn more on this, check out the following links. http://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/yorkshire-terrier… |
