Maine Coon cat names

As the name suggests, the Maine Coon cat originated in the state of Maine. There are several stories that attempt to explain how the breed came into existense. One story claims that Maine Coon cats are a cross between a cat and a raccoon, though it seems more likely that the breed is a cross between pre-existing domestic shorthaired cats and overseas longhairs.

A very vocal breed they are deserving of a carefully chosen cat name!
