Dog food recipe ingredients:

2 1/2 cups of whole-wheat flour

1 cup of beef broth

1 package of yeast (1/4 oz)

2 T. honey

Dog food recipe instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°.

2. In large bowl combine the whole-wheat flour with the yeast. Add 2/3 cup chicken broth and honey and beat for approximately 3 minutes. Gradually add the remaining flour. Knead the dough until it is smooth and moist. (dough should not be wet) Reserve the 1/3 cup of chicken broth to adjust dough to desired moistness.

3. Cover the dough and let it rest for 5 minutes. Divide the dough into 15-20 pieces, rolling each piece into a ball. Adjust the size of your dough balls as desired to suit the size of your pet. Punch a hole into each ball with your finger and gently pull the dough so the hole is a 1/2 inch wide. Don't be concerned with the appearance; they will take shape as they bake.

4. Place the bagels on a greased cookie sheet letting them rise for 5 more minutes.

5. Bake for 25 minutes. When the time is up, turn the heat off and allow the bagels to cool in the oven.
