Orthopedic dog beds

Orthopedic beds are much appreciated by our old or ill friends. When those tired old bones start to bark, an orthopedic bed can help support a weary body and provide more restful sleep.

I tested these beds with two arthritic old dogs. Clint was a nine-pound special needs toy Poodle, and Fred was a 19-pound mutt. Clint's incontinence figured prominently in my bed choices.

We've picked a range of beds, so you should be able to find a bed that suits your needs and budget.

  • Custom Dog Bed from theDogLife

I was looking everywhere for a bed that would fit directly into my dogs crate or would be close but after months of looking I almost gave up. Finally I found a company called theDogLife (www.thedoglife.ca) that made what they were calling "custom dog beds". I sent an email and within a few minutes I had a reply from the company saying they will make ANY size I wanted. I got a quote on a complete custom bed, 24.5" x 32" x 2" made of their microfiber material (like my couch) and my bed was shipped out in under a week! All said and done, my pup and I couldn't be happier! Check them out if you need a dog bed and the usual stores just aren't cutting it. thedoglife.ca Cheers, James
