Our take: A water-resistant nylon cover holds two side-by-side 2-inch high containers of cedar chips with 1.5 inches high of crate foam between the cover and cedar. I don't think a dog could possibly be uncomfortable on this thing unless she's the Princess from the Princess and the Pea, and even then she'd be a real whiner. The cover is machine washable and line dries quickly. This solidly constructed bed is a great value.

The dogs weigh in: Because this was designed to fit Pet Gear's crates and the self-contained Home Pet 'n Play Area we set up for Clint to use (because he was blind and incontinent), he used it every night, and didn't complain once

Custom Dog Bed from theDogLife
I was looking everywhere for a bed that would fit directly into my dogs crate or would be close but after months of looking I almost gave up. Finally I found a company called theDogLife (www.thedoglife.ca) that made what they were calling "custom dog beds". I sent an email and within a few minutes I had a reply from the company saying they will make ANY size I wanted. I got a quote on a complete custom bed, 24.5" x 32" x 2" made of their microfiber material (like my couch) and my bed was shipped out in under a week!
