The Petties is DogTime Media's pet awards program and are the only awards that are nominated by, voted for, and presented to the pet blogging community. The Petties were started as a way to recognize the top pet bloggers in the blogging world and also to give back to the shelters and volunteers that work tirelessly to care for and help millions of animals find forever homes. Winners of a Petties award receive a one of a kind personalized trophy and also a monetary donation to give to a shelter of his or her choosing. This year the donation amount was $1000. After the winning shelters received their $1000 donation, our Editor-in-Chief, Leslie Smith did a Road to Rescue profile on each shelter to learn more about them. Check out their profiles below.
