Winners of the DogTime Pet Blog Awards Announced

Star Studded Awards Ceremony Brought Together the Best of the Best

in the Pet Blogging Community

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – (September 15, 2010)–DogTime Media, the largest vertical media community focused exclusively on pet owners, announced the winners of the DogTime Pet Blog Awards, also known as “the Petties“.

The ceremony was held in the grand ballroom at the Grand Hyatt Denver, on September 11, 2010, and was broadcast live via Ustream courtesy of Eukanuba®.

Hosted by DogTime’s editor-in-chief Leslie Smith, the Petties recognized each of the sixteen nominees and announced the winners:

Janiss Garza for Sparkle the Designer Cat

Best Dog Blog:

Roxanne Hawn for Champion of My Heart

Best Cause Blog:

Nikki Jeske and Ashley Niels for I Love Rescue Animals

Best Pet Blog:

Dr. Jessica Vogelsang for Pawcurious

Each of the winners received a Petties award trophy and a $500 donation to one of the 3,000+ shelters and rescues listed in DogTime’s Save a Dog and Save a Cat applications on Facebook®.

In addition, winners will be interviewed by DogTime’s editor-in-chief Leslie Smith for an article that will appear on DogTime.com and across the DogTime Media Network.

DogTime’s Pet Blog Awards opened for nominations on July 13th and received over 900 submissions. The top four nominees were selected in four categories, and voting began August 3rd. Thousands of votes were tallied and the winners were announced at BlogPaws 2010 West in Denver Colorado at the Grand Hyatt Denver on Saturday, September 11th.
