Quick Control Leash + Seat Belt Latch

Our take: This adjustable car leash is great. The leash has a universal latch that you can clip in to any seat belt buckle. It's designed to attach to a harness rather than a collar; if you hook it onto a collar, the dog's neck could be hurt from quick stops.

You can use the Quick Control outside the car as a regular leash, and it comes in three- or six-foot lengths. There's a side pocket to hold poop bags or your keys as you walk.

The dogs weigh in: Like many dogs, mine aren't thrilled with the whole car restraint idea, but they didn't seem to mind this one. Ginger was happy she could still reach both windows and bark at other dogs on either side of the car.

Cost: middle
