  • White House Pet Correspondents Benefit

Wendy Diamond and Lucky invite you to the Animalfair.com’s 2nd annual White House Pet Correspondents Benefit for our Nation’s Heroes and Sheltered Pets! P2V was founded by Dave Sharpe in October 2009. After serving in the U.S. Air Force Security Forces in Pakistan, Sharpe became violent towards family, friends and himself. He suffered from cold sweats, random crying, and uncontrollable outbursts. Eventually, he was diagnosed with PTSD. One day, Sharpe adopted a pit bull puppy, Cheyenne. Soon after, Sharpe’s family and friends noticed a significant change in his behavior – fewer outbursts, a better attitude. “Cheyenne,” he says, “is my savior.” Since 2009, P2V has matched men and women with companion animals, mostly dogs. P2V provides two programs: P2V Matches, an adoption program, and P2V Connections, an animal-wounded warrior socialization and visitation program. Service is currently limited to active duty military personnel, veterans, and emergency first responders, or spouses and survivors. Special considerations can be made for other family members, next of kin and companions on a case-by-case basis. Sophie LaMontagne & Katherine Kallinis the stars of TLC’s DC Cupcakes, Adam Falkoff, John Arundel, Shelley Hymes, Peter Mirijanian, Susan Lavine, Pia Maria and Steve Norris, Tina and Spike Karalekis, John McLaughlin, Christa Ventikos, Tucker Carlson, John McCaslin, Angie Goff, Cheryl Romero and many special surprise guests will be some of the exciting people to meet there! We would love if you would join us to celebrate the second annual 2011 White House Pet Correspondents Benefit. This is an intimate celebration to honor Pets2V an organization Helping Heal the lives of our Nation’s Heroes and Sheltered Pets! There will be adorable dogs up for adoption where party participants (whether Republican or Democrat) can see if they click with any of the lovable dogs throughout the evening. Diamond promises if Bo Obama and/or Champ, Joe Biden’s seven-month-old German Shepherd rescue attend they will have a ball (or be thrown a ball) at this benefit. Date: April 28th 2011 Time: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Location: Art and Soul The Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel 415 New Jersey Ave, NW Washington, DC 20001 Tickets: $50 donation with proceeds supporting P2V log onto:www.animalfair.com
