Telebrands Doggy Steps

Our take: This is an "As seen on TV" product from Telebrands designed for small dogs. It's an inexpensive plastic frame covered by a fake sheepskin so it's not very stable. The sheepskin cover removes for cleaning in the washer, which is a nice touch. I thought the assembly was confusing although a friend figured it out easily. The maximum dog weight is 70 pounds, and I have a tough time imagining even a 60-pound dog on it, but toy-sized breeds would like it and it is very reasonably priced.

The dogs weigh in: Fred didn't like it. He seemed afraid of it and I assume that's because it wasn't as stable or wide as the heavier pieces. He used it, but probably only because he had no other way of getting on the couch.

Cost: low
