wet paws
We have a 10 month male cavalier puppy and a year and a half old female. Our male puppy never lifts up his leg to urinate so he just stands and urinates all over his legs. What
advice is out there to get him not to wet all over his paws and legs?
We love our puppies and they are great we just hope we can get him not to do this so he does not ruin our sofa or carpet. What can we do??

cavachon
I have read about this Cavalier King Charles spaniel and Bichon Frise mix. They are really cute. I am from AL and I cant find a breeder anywhere at all close by. I really cant afford the shipping, and also I was wondering how much these dogs cost? Any one have any idea? I have 3 children under the age of 10 and we want a small indoor dog. Other than this kind does anyone have any suggestions on a good breed for kids? Thanks

Therapy use of King Charles Spaniel
I live in a nursing home and we are considering getting a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy as our resident therapy dog. We had a borrowed one for a week and all fell in love with his friendliness and personality. Any experience with either this breed or another breed would be welcome. I am on face book. Charles Johnson, 98 Starr Farm Road, Burlington, Vermont, 05408. thanks.

Teething and food
Hi there,
My 4.5 month-old Cav has began losing his baby teeth a few weeks ago. Since then, he's refusing to eat more than a little bit of his kibble during the day, but he'll gladly eat treats and other snacks. When I try to get him to eat more kibble, he turns away. He also leaves kongs full of kibble untouched when I put him in his crate, even though I know he's very hungry.
So, is this just a phase that... (continued)

CKCS and seperation anxiety
Hi there,
Given how sensitive CKCS are, should they still be trained against separation anxiety? Specifically, should I follow this site's advice to gradually increase the time my puppy spends in his crate alone for the first year? And should I ever even try to get up to 4 hours alone in the crate, or is that cruel for this breed?
Thanks.

Some insight please
Going to pick up my new Cavalier puppy in about a week. I live alone, work 9-5 and have 2 cats. NOW I am being told that Cavs CANNOT be left alone all day. Is that really true?
My brother is staying with me until he finds a job and gets a house so that, sadly, should be a while, well after the pup is grown. BUt he won't be there forever. I do have access to very good dog walkers and to doggie daycares. I am not... (continued)

"Seasons"
Hi. I have a 3 year old King Charles cavalier. She was in season mid-December and we took her to be covered but this did not lead to a pregnancy. From all the information we could find we were expecting to take her back 6 months later, so around mid-June. Today, just over 4 months after she was last in season, she is bleeding again. Is it possible that she is back in season so soon or coud there be something else?

Cav breeder in No. California
I can't find any Cav breeders nearby (50 miles of San Francisco) who don't have a 2 year waiting list for a puppy. I'm home during the day, have lived with a Cav before, think it's a good match, but can't find a breeder.
Any ideas?
