I am looking to get a smooth collie female puppy for training as a mobility assistance service dog. Of all the dogs I have had, I never have had a collie. What are their general personalities? Quirks? Strengths? Weaknesses?

I am new to this site and I would love to find a miniature collie, I have only seen them once in my life and I know they are hard to find. looking for mini collie
My uncle has just lost his dog of 16yrs. He is an older man who needs a new companion. I have checked the papers in my area and cannot find a miniature border collie. If any one can help me find a companion for my uncle please let me know
