st. bernards and webbed feet

We just adopted a new St. Bernard puppy. She is a short-haired and we named her Rosey. Before Rosey, we had a long-haired saint named Sophia for almost 12 years. She was the most perfect dog I have ever known.... very human, loving and smart!! Rosey is getting there. She is much more playful and different in nature. She fetches.... a saint that fetches?? st. bernards in the South

i talked with my boss about owning huge dogs. she's a licensed veterinarian. she actually doesn't think i'm too small to handle a huge dog even tho i'monly 5'3" and weigh 120 lbs. she just doesn't think i have the experience for one, becuase i've never owned a dog of my own beforeand because i'm still in high school and only 17 years old. she thinks i can handle huge dogs like st. bernards once i have enough e... are st. bernards dog aggressive?

i want a saint bernard because they are good with people and even children despite their huge size. but i want to be able to have more than one dog, and i've read that even though they are excellent with people, they can be dangerous to other dogs. is this true? and if so, can a saint bernard be trained to live peacefully with other dogs?

Looking for a guard dog

Recently I moved 150 miles away from home, to a rual part of a small (population 400) town. We have a 3 year old, and my husband works nights. I was looking for a toddler friendly, yet protective dog. But he must be an outside dog. It would be kept in our 4 car garage that stays about 75 year round. We want a large dog, is there any that woldn't mind being by himself for 8-10 hours a day. We spend a lot of time out... (continued)
