Scuba Judy

  • Waukesha, WI

Nine years ago I had five exotic birds. Due to a lung disease requiring a transplant, I had to find homes for my beloved feathered friends before I would be listed. After my transplant, I aksed my doctor what kind of pet I could have. He said that a dog would probably be the best. After much research, I decided to look for a Boston Terrier because they don't shed a lot and they don't need to spend a lot of time outside. In January 2000, during a snowstorm, we bought Raji, a nine month old Boston. In July 2008, we added Boss, a 6 week old Boston, to our family. This is my first experience in dealing with a new puppy. I'm thinking about getting my dogs name tags. The ones I am looking at put a saying or nickname on the front and personal information on the back. I would like to get Little Boy for Boss and Fat Man for Raji (for the bombs that fell on Hiroshima and Nagasaki) because my husband says they act like bombs when they play together. I just received notice that the Wisconsin DMV has accepted my application for personalized plates for my new 2009 Honda Pilot: Bossy 1. That can either apply to me being a bossy person or the name of my new puppy.

Boss

Boss

  • Boston Terrier
  • 3 years (25 dog years)
  • Little Guy, Boss Boston, Bossy, Boss Man
  • Down and loose leash walking
  • Likes to leave messes on the parquet floor and in the upstairs hallway.
  • Cute puppy, right price, prior experience with owning a Boston.
  • Boss is always trying to steal whatever toy or treat Raji has. Raji has been a pretty good sport about it so far. Our family is taking Boss to puppy classes. He has learned sit, come, down and off. He loves to socialize with the other puppies in the class. Last night we took Boss to Friday Night Live (musical entertainment outside in downtown Waukesha). He enjoyed socializing with the people who came to listen to the jazz music. He got so worn out that he spent a good part of the next day sleeping. We are sending him to doggy day care for one day a week to continue with his socialization with other dogs.

Raji

Raji

  • Boston Terrier
  • 12 years (89 dog years)
  • Dog, Kimo Sabe, Chief Crooked Tooth, Sleeping Dog
  • Shake paw
  • Hates it when anyone comes to our door.
  • short, single coat & indoor dog
  • Raji likes to go for walks, but it ends up with me being pulled down the street by him. He's about the best couch potato I know. He loves to lay with me on my bed while I rest. It was a sad day for Raji when Boss learned how to go down the stairs. In the past if Boss was bothering him too much, he could just go downstairs and lay on my bed. Now Boss follows him everywhere. Raji seems to enjoy having a little buddy to run around with.
