I was team penning last year with my horse and their was a litter of puppies that they were giving away throughout the summer. At the end of the year they announced that this dog (the mother) was ill mannered and they were going to destroy her if no one took her. I gave in and my parents were not impressed. They said i had two weeks for me to find her a new home or they were going to take care of her. I was a day short and my parents said they wanted to talk to me. I couldn't believe what I heard. I could keep her! They commented that I had done so good with her. Then she was mine.
I always brought her to work taking care of my grand parents. In the fall my grandfather was placed in a nursing home. I would take my gram to see him a few times a week. Annie always went too. With the warmest regards the Nurses even said that I could take her off of the leash because they trusted her and she was well behaved. That is the story of my beloved Annie. My shadow dog.
