  • Apache Junction, AZ

We have lived in Apache Junction for the past 2 years. We lived up in Prescott and Flagstaff where it is much cooler and in Flagstaff it snows. Dudley was born in Flagstaff and some day in the future we would like to move back to an area where there is a winter. Dudley loves to play in the snow.

Maybe one day we will move to Canada. For no particular reason but to just move to a different region. Both of us are getting a little tired of the extreme heat in the summer.

Rusty is the newest member of our family. Rusty's spots and Dudley's coloring match almost perfect. Although Rusty is much younger (1 year old in June) than Dudley when they play together it's just like they are the same age (for a little while, anyway).

The three of us are a perfect family and I am happy that we are.

  • Dudley and I came together about 3 to 4 weeks after he was born. My ex-boyfriend's mother's pomeranian had just had a litter of puppies when we went to visit on vacation. There were 3 puppies, 1 was white(female),1 was reddish-tan(male), and 1 was tan(also a male). Every time I went in to look at the puppies I would talk to the mother to let her know I was not there to hurt her or her pups. As I would talk the little red one would wiggle away from his mother and towards the sound of my voice and right then and there I knew we were meant to be family. That is also when he became my Dudley. People ask me where his name came from and I honestly don't know he was just my Dudley. When my boyfriend's mom asked if I would like to have a puppy of course I said yes! I was fortunate enough to get him for free but even if he would have cost a thousand dollars I would have gladly given that kind of money. I waited until he was weened from his mother and just after Thanksgiving of 2001 he came home to me. Since then my boyfriend and I broke up and no longer speak, but I will say the one thing I am grateful to him for is bringing Dudley into my life.
