I have had a dog since I was a small child: today I have a 6 mo. old Border Collie who is very funny, he acts like a child. While my husband and I were out in the yard today I glanced up and to our biggest surprise there was Sarge; he has been gone for almost 2 years. You see we live in the country and one day he left home and went down the road to a neighbors home and wouldn't come home, he was almost 7 years old at the time. I was in the mindset that boy dogs shouldn't be nuttered and that has been a lot of problems for a long time, but some people don't learn easily. I use to go get him and he would come home and then go right back and I never thought to get him fixed. The people took care of him and seemed to be fine with hime staying there, you see they had a girl dog. At some point last year he dissappeared from their home and they wouldn't respond to me requesting information about his whereabouts. So today he came home and I cried. He walked in as if he had done something wrong, but within minutes he was wagging and the cat was meowing as if he remembered him. It was a great reunion, and I am very sorry that I couldn't get it. He hasn't left my side. He will be 9 years this Oct.. Just needed to share this with someone.
