- Keeping our cats off the bed at night :)
- Jumps the fence to play with the neighbor's dog
- We got her cause we obviously love brendle dogs, and it was also a rescue situation, so that was good
-
We got Madison in August 2007. We actually drove over 5 hours to and 5 hours from South Carolina to get Madison. But, when we saw her we loved her instantly and knew we wanted her. When we realized that it was a rescue situation, we wanted her even more. She's seriously high energy, and we play with her often. She is also too smart for her own good, but that's OK. She is starting to calm down somewhat. She plays well with Mojo, and even though she is so much younger and stronger, she still shows Mojo submission, and since Mojo does not walk well anymore, she plays with her laying down, rolled over on her back. Her best friend is Waylon the cat, who we rescued off the side of I-85 the same week we bought Madison. They've basically grew up together, and play like two dogs playing!
Marley Jane
- Basset Hound and Pit Bull
- 7 years (53 dog years)
- Sweet Mar, The Wonder Dog
- When excited she runs, and puts her front feet down, sliding all the way across the kitchen floor
- Tends to growl a little when you move her as she is sleeping
- Because her owner was about to take her to the pound.

Marley is pretty much one of a kind. She is a basset-pit best we can tell. Very odd looking little thing......kind of like a lizard and an alligator with fur. Very quirky, but loves one on one attention, and being taken for walks. Her body is about the size of Mojo's, but her legs are very short. I was at the ABC store one random afternoon, and had Mojo with me. Some guy saw Mojo, and said he had one exactly like her that he HAD to get rid of, or he'd get evicted. He was ready to take her to the pound, so I agreed to take a look. While she is brindle, I knew in about one second she was not the same as Mojo. But, I also saw the conditions she was living with, knew they were not good, and figured Mojo could use a friend. The rest is history.
