Jack

Jack

  • Husky and German Shepherd
  • ( dog years)
  • Information provided by previous owners: More information will be provided as we get to know him. This boy's name is Jack and he's very good with other dogs and loves all people. I'm sure he'd be good around older children but since he still has a lot of puppy energy, younger kids he may knock down by accident. He knows how to sit as long as you have a treat when you say it. He has no behavioral issues that I have noticed since we got him (Jan 2009) but he is a licker; he loves to give kisses and will lick pretty much anything. He loves to play with our other dog and run around our fenced in back yard. He's not aggressive at all, just energetic. He is a 7 month old Husky/ German Shepherd and he is a very good dog. He is neutered , is on Heartguard and crate and house trained.

  • Hi My name is Wendell. I came from the pound in Arenac county, I was found as a stray, and no one claimed me. I was VERY underweight but I look so much better now that I get a meal all of the time! I am as friendly as can be! I am 6 months old. No one can say EXACTLY what I am for sure even the vet was stumped! Animal control said I was a Rat terrier mix, everyone guesses something different. I do have a lot of energy. I LOVE to play with the tennis ball. I have so much fun with them! I like to throw them up in the air and catch them, then I actually throw the ball myself and chase after it. I am a working breed so I need lots of activity, Plus I am just a young boy yet! I am told I am VERY cute. My little tail is docked also. Everyone at my vet's office thought I was adorable! I love attention, and I do not like to be away from my people. I like to be by them at all times. I do not even like to let them out of my sight when I eat. I get along with other dogs and I would do well with kids. I wish someone would take me into their homes and hearts. I know already how to sit, shake and we are working on how to lay down. I am SUPER smart and would make a perfect friend for someone! I really want a family of my own.

Gunner

  • Hi my name is Gunner. I love to snuggle. I was found as a stray at a Specialty Store near Sanford. The nice owers of the store took me to the vet and found this rescue to take me in. I heard them say I was up to date with all my shots. I like my foster home there are other dogs for me to play with, kids to run around or snuggle with, and my foster mom and dad are teaching me things everyday. I am potty trained and almost crate trained, but I have a hard time with the night time crating. I only make noise when my foster mom and dad are home and I'm in the crate, but if they leave, I know I'm not getting out, so I'm quite and won't bother your neighbors. I am the best snuggler in the house. I'm learning to play this game, called fetch, but I much more prefer keep away. I can sit and I come when I'm called. I know leave it. I am still working on down and stay and I'm doing pretty good at it. Won't you please consider adopting me? Oh, I almost forgot, I love to snuggle too.

  • Hi there! My name is Cody. I am a sweet 4 month old terrier mix. My owners brought me into animal control because I had the parvo virus. The humane society of Ohio took me into foster care and cared for me and treated the parvo. This can be deadly to dogs, but I somehow pulled through. I am now healthy as ever, playful, I love people, to cuddle. go for car rides, walks and play with dogs of all sizes! I am told I have a lot of spunk in me! I am very smart also! I would do great in a home as an only pet or with other dogs and/or cats. I love children and everyone I meet! The parvo I had is not contagious now so there is no need to be afraid. I can not pass it on to any other animals! You can just tell from my photos just how much personality I have!!

  • Hi! My name is Jack. Nice to meet you! I am a wonderful boy who was rescued by a great woman. My owners did not want me anymore, I don't know why I am so smart and so willing to please. I know how to sit and shake. I am updated on all vaccinations, neutered and even house and crate trained. I love to play, and I get along great with all dogs and even cats. I love to have my belly rubbed and I want nothing more then to get attention. I would like to go to my forever home soon so that I can start my life with people that will love and cherish me. My foster mommy tells me that I am one special boy who only deserves the best in life. Please consider adopting me and giving me the home I have always wanted.

Chewla

Chewla

  • Labrador Retriever and Husky
  • ( dog years)
  • Hello! My name is Chewla. I am a sweet 10 month old female Black lab husky mix . I am one of the nicest dogs you will ever meet! I am playful, I get along great with dogs of all sizes, and I love to go for car rides and walks! I also love snuggle time. When I get excited and my tail wags my whole body wags with it! In fact, my tail never seems to stop wagging. I am not your average lab husky mix though. I have one physical characteristic that sets me apart from the rest. I have one blue eye and one brown eye. I am quite stunning looking! I am looking for a home that will exercise me, play with me and love me forever. I would like to be placed in a home with adults and older children (over the age of 13). It is not that I do not adore kids of all ages because I do, but when I have food and a child comes up to me I get scared they will steal the food from me. I know the little kids just want to be a part of what i am doing, but it still frightens me. For safety sake that is why I need to be placed into a home with older kids that know something about dog handling. Please won't you give me a chance to be loved again?PHOTOS COMING SOON!

  • Hi there! My name is Belle. I am a very sweet 4 month old puppy with lots of love to give. I love to play, snuggle, go for walks and go for car rides. I am very smart also and learn fast. I am all white and I have the most beautiful dark brown eyes. I get along great with kids, cats, and even dogs of all sizes! I came from a high kill animal control out of state that do what is called the heart pick. A very inhumane way of euthanizing dogs. I also looked enough like a "pit Bull" that I could not be adopted to anyone but a rescue out of state. I do have terrier in me, but I am certainly a mix. I would love for someone to take me into their homes and hearts!

  • *** NEW HOME NEEDED ASAP! PLEASE HELP!**** Hi, my name is Oz. I am a lab/springer spaniel mix. I'm a big dog weighing almost 70lbs. I am old, 13 years old, but I have a lot of life and love left to give. I am very obedient and love a lot of attention. I do not like to be left alone for a long time. I love to go for walks and to watch movie and eat popcorn with my family. My family is no longer able to keep my because they are moving to a place that does not allow dog. It is very heartbreaking, but I am hoping to find a new family that will love me and give me the kind of life that I am used to. I have not been fixed, but this does not affect my behavior at all. All of my shots are up to date.
