We got two doggies Dixie the Pit Bull is about 6, and Pugly is about 1.
Both were rescues. Dixie was about 6 months old when we got her. Pugly was eight weeks or so.
We had to teach Dixie to bark on hand signal. We didn't have to teach Pugly, he is quite verbal.
Dixie does several tricks, and is friendly, and doesn't bite. If she gets loose, she runs away. Thankfully she has only gotten away a few times and she didn't get hit by a car. One time she actually crossed the interstate and wound up at the shopping center.
