- I stupidly thought that having atleast a part basset would keep him from running so fast, its hard for me to keep up because of medical problems...boy was I wrong.

Dabber Doo was a present for my son's 8th bday. He was about to be taken to the pound as he was the last of his litter and the lady couldn't find him a home. My husband saved him from that fate and as we speak right now, Dabber is sprawled wide legged on his back in my sofa chair, no doubt dreaming doggie dreams of chasing squirrels and eating teats. He protects my boys and I pity the person who tries to break into my house. He is a very very strong dog and would defiantly do damage to anyone who tried to hurt any of us in this house. I love my dog, and I wish people would realize that they too feel pain every bit as much as we humans do. To hurt them is wrong, just like hurting a child is wrong. My dog is a people, the only difference between him and humans is that he gives nothing but love all the time. Humans could take a lesson from dogs.
