Cate

It's not about me.It's about our dog. I have always had pets. I really think a house isn't a home without at least one furry four legged thing running around....we have several. Three cats and our dog ( and a turtle). I wanted a small dog, but my daughter picked out this one and all she wanted for christmas from Santa was a puppy dog and a swingset..how do you tell the sweetest little blue eyed child no? So, she chose Stone ( or he chose her...not sure which) and here we are almost 11 years later.
My husband kept telling me he wasnt' a "dog " person, but Stone goes crazy happy when dad returns home from work. And he's the first one to throw the ball for Stone too. Hmmm....not a dog person huh?
That's okay, Stone is too cute with his big brown eyes and cute little ears ( my daughter loves his face!)
We're a happy family, cats, turtle, kids and Stone.

What I like about my dog

He's aawesome. Smart. loves to play and go for rides in the car with us. He will run after the ball as long as you can throw it! He's so protective of his family.

What my dog likes best about me

I know how to use the can opener, I wil throw the ball for him, I never leave him inside when I go out, and I'm great at belly rubs!

If I didn't have a dog, I'd like a...

Stone Cold

Stone Cold

  • Chow Chow and australian Sheperd
  • ( dog years)
  • Stone
  • Not really a trick dog
  • Rolling on his back in the house making all kinds of noises!
  • I didn't, my daughter did when she was 2. He was a puppy and they have grown up together. She named him too.
  • His herding instinct is amazing!! But his Chow is dominant when he's protecting the home. He's absolutely wonderful with children. Good with other pets, so long as they're inside the house. The cats in particular...everything outside is fair game!! He is very smart and learns so fast.
He talks to us. Since he was a puppy, he would sit and snap his little jaw at me. I thought he was going to grow into a biter, but I was happily wrong. He " talks"...just sits there making funny noises and his mouth opens and he snaps it closed to make strange sounds. I wonder what he's saying. He'll come right up to one of us and talk for several minutes at a time...too funny.
He's a love and getting older. Definitely a part of the family.
