Our take: This is the toothpaste I use for my dogs, and not just because it's conveniently sold at my vet's clinic. A veterinary dentist told me that enzymatic toothpastes are the best for dogs, and C.E.T. is formulated for dogs and cats, so I can use it on all my pets. It inhibits plaque formation, which we all know is dental evil. This stuff has the C.E.T. Dual Enzyme System, a fancy way of saying it has two types of enzymes, and comes in poultry or malt flavors.

The dogs weigh in: My dog Ginger hates having her teeth brushed, but both she and my mutt Fred tolerate the poultry flavor of C.E.T., which cannot be said of all of the flavors I've tried. Neither of them seem to care much for the malt.

Cost: middle
