Our take: You record a message up to 13 seconds long ("Ginger, where's Mom? Is Mom in here?") which you can change at any time. Then you put in treats that get tossed out when it rolls. When the dog touches it, lights flash and the message plays while the ball rolls around. The plastic shell can be put in the dishwasher.
The dogs weigh in: Ginger wouldn't touch it but the Basenjis got a huge kick out of it.
