PetMate Ultra Bubbler Watering System

Our take: The Ultra Bubbler uses a tube to create air flow that causes bubbling in the water bowl. It doesn't filter the water, but the water should taste fresh because it's constantly oxygenated.

The Ultra Bubbler was easy to assemble, and works well for big dogs or multiple wee ones as it has a six-quart capacity. The unit is noisy, however, and although the noise is meant to attract the animals, I found it distracting. In this reviewer's opinion, if you're going to invest in a water station, you may as well get one that filters the water--that's where the significant health benefit comes in.

The dogs weigh in: The bubbling didn't seem to matter one way or the other to my dogs, but the cat liked it.

Cost: low
