Ruffin’ It One World Organic Cotton Collars and Leashes

Our take: Score one---actually two---for Ruffin' It. This product line from Westminster Pet includes 100 percent organic cotton collars and leashes as well as leashes made from recycled plastic bottles. The organic cotton is grown in Africa (thus supporting developing communities--although there's the carbon output of transporting it to consider) and is colored with earth friendly low-salt inks. They have a really cute range of colors to choose from.

The recycled leashes turn used plastic bottles into durable and brightly colored polyester that really holds up to wear and tear. The patterns include different colors of houndstooth (get it?) or madras.

Cost:
low

I recently bought a " ruffin' it" dog leash for my medium size dog . The first thing I had trouble with it was when it was fully extended like my old extendable leash it had a hard time going back in in fact I couldn't get it back in right away had to work and wiggle it , finely I got it back in . On my second walk with the leash the snap on the end of it broke and it fell off my dogs collar, not to safe on a busy street! On closer inspection I noticed the spring on the latch was missing ! I wouldn't recomend any of the "ruffin' it products if they fall apart that soon! Lauren Tarr , Shelton,Washington
