Our take: This plastic dog house earned a Consumer Digest Best Buy award. It's not the best looking option--plastic dog houses rarely are--but it has other things going for it. Made of all-weather materials, it's insulated to keep dogs warm in winter and cool in summer. It snaps together without tools, and the green roof lifts off for easy cleaning. The plastic has UV protection to prevent color fading. One size is available for "large and in charge dogs" up to about 125 pounds.
